How long does a typical NetSuite implementation take?
Most mid-market implementations take 8 to 16 weeks depending on the number of modules, data migration complexity, and integration scope. A finance-only foundation setup typically lands closer to 8 weeks. Multi-entity rollouts with custom SuiteScript and third-party integrations run 12 to 16+ weeks. We scope every project during discovery so you have a realistic plan before any build starts.
Do we need to buy NetSuite licenses separately from your services?
Yes. NetSuite licenses are purchased directly from Oracle NetSuite or through an authorized reseller. Our service fees cover implementation, SuiteScript development, integration engineering, training, and ongoing support — these are billed separately from your license costs. We can guide you through license sizing to ensure you are not over- or under-provisioned from day one.
What is SuiteScript and when do we need custom development?
SuiteScript is NetSuite's JavaScript-based scripting framework (SuiteScript 2.x). It enables custom validations, automated workflows, calculated fields, and complex business logic that cannot be achieved through standard configuration. Most implementations need at least some SuiteScript work for approval routing, custom calculations, and integration payloads. We scope SuiteScript requirements during discovery so you know upfront what is standard config versus custom code.
Can you support us after go-live, not just during implementation?
Yes — ongoing support is a core part of our offering. After go-live, we provide retainer-based managed support covering SuiteScript updates, new module rollouts, integration maintenance, user support, and release planning. Retainers are scoped by hours and SLA tier so you have predictable costs and response times. Many of our clients move from project-based engagement to a monthly retainer at or before go-live.
